1
Using your string and some stakes, layout your foundation, making sure that it is square.
-
2
Using the post hole diggers, dig holes for the posts at least four feet deep. Hint – if you want the roof to have a slope, set the rear 4 x 4’s at least 1 foot deeper than the front ones.
-
-
3
Pour cement into hole and set one 4 x 4 in the hole and brace it so that it is straight up and down. Repeat with all of the 4 x 4’s.
-

Attach one 2 x 12 across the front of the front 4 x 4’s and again across the back of the front 4 x 4’s. Attach one 2 x 12 across the front of the rear 4 x 4’s and again across the back of the rear 4 x 4’s. These will not only stabilize the structure, but will be a base for setting the 2 x 6 rafters.

Next, attach the 2 x 6’s (standing) across the width of the structure from front to back at 16-inch intervals leaving a 2-foot overhang on the front.

Tips & Warnings
When you purchase siding, look for siding that matches your team colors. This will help to get the attention of potential customers.
Another alternative would be to have your team logo painted on the side of the building.
This design can be customized to any size. Just be sure to add poles (4 x 4’s) where necessary for stability.
Failure to cement the poles will result in the concession stand being unstable.
Failure to string your foundation from corner to corner will result in your building not being square.
Be sure that you stand your 2 x 6’s on end. Laying them down does not give your roof any stability.
