Things You'll Need:
- phone
- computer
-
Step 1
Research the Web for possible sources: All "free" services are not alike. Some have free service for up to 10 people and others for 100. In general, anything over 100 people is going to cost money, so be prepared.
-
Step 2
Register at your Free net: Let's say you chose freenet.com . This site allows up to 100 users on. With their paid service, they can still only hold up to 240. They also limit your conference to 3 hours, which might be good, but it is not the best. A drawback to this company is that some of their information seems to be over two years old, so who knows if you would get support.
-
Step 3
Register at Free Conference Call. This is considered the best in the business for a free service. They do have 24/7 Toll-free support, so you are not lost. You get your own number and access code. You can only have 96 people on at a time, but it records the call. You can teach for up to 6 hours at a time, and there is no limit to the amount of times you may call in to use the service. They have a ton of upgrades like toll-free numbers, so as you grow, it will grow with you.
-
Step 4
Schedule your Teleconference, course, or phone meetup on your calendar. You can schedule it with free conference call.com as well, but it is not required
-
Step 5
Determine if Free or Fee. If it is free then you would just need a autoresponder to send the codes. Use something likefreeautobot.
-
Step 6
Set up a registration system using Reg Online to gather your list, take payments, and confirm your guests. If you are going to take payments you will need a service like PayPal.
-
Step 7
Market it: If it is a telecourse, for example, then put a listing on sites that would be interested.
-
Step 8
Go on a day early to learn their system. Whoever is going to be welcoming, muting, or selecting callers to speak needs to know the system. All systems are not the same.
