How to Draw Sonic the Hedgehog and Friends

Drawing Sonic the Hedgehog and friends is a simpler project if you break the drawing down into parts. How to Draw Sonic the Hedgehog and Friends

1. Draw a circle with three arching triangles that get smaller as you make your way down the head.

2. Draw one large oval in the center of the circle, then draw angular lines to create Sonic's eyes. Start at the far side of the oval and go towards the center, then draw two crescents for eyebrows that outline the shape of the eyes.

3. Create two half circles just below the far side of each eye, and join them with an arching line to define Sonic and friends mouth. Draw a crescent shape for a smile inside the mouth and a nose below the middle of the eyes.

4. Draw a long oval that is about 1 1/4 times the diameter of Sonic's head just below it for the body. Then draw another oval inside this oval to depict the stomach.

5. Draw a line on each side of the body for the arms, and an oval around each one half way up the arm, to form the top of the gloves. Then creating lines from this oval to the hands to complete the gloves.

6. Draw two lines for legs near the bottom of the body. Draw another oval around each one as you did with the gloves for the top of the boots and add two rounded triangles at the bottom for Sonic's feet. Each one points at an angle away from the center of the body.

7. Complete the drawing with shading. Now you have drawn Sonic the Hedgehog.

Tips & Warnings

• If your Sonic the Hedgehog and Friends don't look like the real characters, take some time to look at pictures of Sonic and Friends, and correct the parts that are not quite right. It will take a few tries, but once you master all the shapes, your Sonic and Friends will look like they just stepped out of the video game.
