Instructions

How to Pick A Good Summer Purse

  1. Step 1

Go to a few of your favorite stores and look at their purse selection. There will be many to choose from. You will feel a bit overwhelmed at first but look through the merchandise and eliminate those that you think are ugly or not suited for you.

  2. Step 2

Consider what size would be best for you. Ask yourself some of these questions: Is the purse only for style? What do I need to put in the purse? Are you a mom who needs to carry more than just a brush and makeup? After deciding how much space you need, only look at purses that meet your size requirement.

  3. Step 3

Decide whether it would be suitable for you to have a short handled purse or a long handled purse, such as a shoulder bag. If you want one with a long handle then eliminate looking at ones that have shorter handles. However, be aware that some purses have both and the long handle is inside the purse, so check the inside of the purse before eliminating a purse that has a short handle.

  4. Step 4

Place a purse that catches your eye up to your body and look in the mirror. If you like how it looks consider that purse a possibility to purchase. Keep it in your cart and continue to look at the other purses.

  5. Step 5

Choose between two or three that you find. Ask a store clerk which one she likes. Ask her which one looks better. Get two or three opinions before you decide. As far as style-wise, you want a purse to look good but it also must be functional. Just because someone else likes the purse that doesn’t mean that you will.

Tips & Warnings
  • Look at the purse you have now and consider what you have in it. You will have to put all that into the new purse. This will help you in choosing a size.
  • Consider purchasing two purses, one for every day and one to carry in the evening when you're going out.
