Start with your face preparation. A cowardly lion costume can be bulky, and it's best to do your face first. Put a non-toxic brown face paint all over your face. Let it dry, and put on another coat. It may be a long night.

Attach whiskers to your face. Costume whiskers usually come with costume adhesive that is safe for your face. Make sure you read all warnings on the package to the whiskers. Some may be intended for use on a vinyl costume mask.

Put on your full body lion suit. Any lion costume will do. You are converting it to the Cowardly Lion suit with your own creativity.
