How to use iskysoft dvd to mp4 converter for mac

The use of mp3 players and Apple iPods is so prevalent throughout today's society, and virtually anything and everything can be placed on one. Movies that are in DVD format can also be placed on mp3 players and iPods that allow video files, but those files usually need to be converted to a specific file type first. In the case of Apple iPods, "mp4" format is usually the format that's required. One of the popular file converters to do just this is the iSkysoft DVD to Mp4 Converter. Of course, this software is used on a Mac system, so if you have a Mac here is how to use this software to convert your DVD files to place them on your iPod or other player that uses mp4 file formats.

Things You'll Need:

• The downloaded iSkysoft software

1. Open the iSkysoft DVD to Mp4 Converter on your Mac system by clicking on the program's icon.

2. Add a DVD movie file to convert by clicking the "Load DVD" button at the top of the software next to the iSkysoft logo.

3. Search your Mac system for the DVD files you want to convert, and open the DVD folder by clicking on it once it has been found.

4. Select the "Video_TS" folder in the DVD folder you opened in Step 3.

5. Click the "OK" button after selecting the "Video_TS" folder in the previous Step. Doing this will place all the files in the main screen of the iSkysoft converter program.

6. Select the titles and chapters of the DVD or movie files you want to convert by clicking the check box next to each of the titles and chapter.

7. Select the "mp4" or other desired output format by clicking and choosing that option in the drop down menu of the box that says "Format," which is located in the bottom portion of the iSkysoft program.

8. Name the output files of your titles and chapters by typing in a desired name in the "Output" box, which is directly below the "Format" box in the bottom portion of the program's screen.

9. Change or choose the video and audio output settings by clicking on the "Settings" button in the bottom part of the iSkysoft program and typing in the desired settings (i.e. resolution, bit rate, etc).

10. Click the "Convert" button in the bottom right of the program once all the previous steps have been completed, and the iSkysoft DVD to Mp4 converter program will automatically convert the files for you.

Tips & Warnings

• To prevent having to sit in front of your computer through the whole conversion process, you can choose to shut down the computer or open the converted files' folder once the conversion has been completed. This can be done by checking one of the option buttons in bottom of the conversion window after you have clicked "Convert."
