Tantra is the act of fulfilling the "Law of Love." It has been practiced since about 3000 BC, but has recently gained popularity within modern culture, such as in the movie "American Pie 2". Tantra takes yoga, meditation and sexual intercourse and weaves them together to help you achieve the highest sense of clarity and awareness. In this article, you will learn how to perform tantra and how it will benefit both your body and mind.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

    How to Perform Tantra

  1. Step 1

Calm your mind and deepen your breath. When you perform tantra, you want to be as centered as possible. Try this breathing technique: Sit on the floor and mentally connect with the earth beneath you. Close your eyes and tap your heart a few times with your finger. After about a minute, you should feel your heart rate begin to slow down.

  2. Step 2

Worship your partner. It is very important that you tell your partner what you love about her body or soul. Worshipping is one of the main parts of the tantric practice. Before you start intercourse, sit naked with your partner and tell her how beautiful she is or which parts of her body you like the most.

  3. Step 3

Change positions often during sex. You can consult the Kama Sutra if you run out of positions to try. By changing positions, you can focus on new sensations and this also delays orgasm for both partners.

  4. Step 4

Delay ejaculation. One of the main parts of Tantra is delaying ejaculation to retain energy and gain awareness of your body in the moment. For men, pull your testes away from your body right before you are about to ejaculate. This will stop the ejaculation. Women can squeeze their Kegel muscles to prevent an orgasm.

  5. Step 5

Practice yoga. By doing this, you can gain strength and flexibility and bring this into your bedroom. Once you're more flexible, you'll be able to perform difficult sexual positions and gain more awareness of both you and your partner's bodies.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you feel discomfort in any sexual position, immediately stop.

on 7/20/2008 Although a man should be encouraged to seperate orgasm from ejaculation and therefore become multi-orgasmic, it's important for a woman to learn to release and 'let go' both emotionally & physically according to red tantra practices. Check out www.freewebs.com/sensualawakening
