Spend the afternoon in Central Park. Without question, Central Park is the ultimate attraction found in upper Manhattan. One can simply take a walk throughout the entire park without feeling like he wasted an afternoon. You can also search to see if there are any concerts taking place while you are in the area. You can even enjoy a meal at the Tavern on the Green.

Go to the Central Park Zoo. The zoo itself isn't necessarily different or special from other zoos found in large cities. Nevertheless, the Central Park Zoo is still a great attraction that is perfect for the entire family. The Central Park Zoo also offers different events throughout the year.

Visit the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. This is an excellent place to take in such events as a symphony performance, musical or theater production, opera and plenty more. You can even take a tour of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts if you simply want to see the concert halls.

Eat a meal at Tom's Restaurant. Tom's Restaurant may not sound familiar to you, especially if you've never been to upper Manhattan before. Once you get there, though, you'll probably recognize it. The outside of Tom's Restaurant was made famous as the place where the “Seinfeld” gang enjoyed most of their meals.

Take a trip to the American Museum of Natural History. This museum literally has it all from exhibits on sea monsters, reptiles and the Middle East. You can also learn about wildlife in the Manhattan area and even see parts of outer space that you didn't even know existed. If that isn't enough for you, there are times throughout the summer that guests are invited to spend the night!
