Instructions

  1. How to Build a Skate Ramp

    • 1

Purchase or gather the materials that you will need. You may want to consider asking a friend to help you out while building this ramp.

    • 2

Cut the wood. You will need to cut the 12mm piece into 2 right triangles. These will need to be the same size. The base will be 900mm while the height will be 300mm.

    • 3

Create the frame of your ramp. Grab a piece of timber and shape it to give it the same angle as the top of the triangles. Rivet a piece of wood to both sides of the triangle. All edges must be flush. Put a piece of wood on both sides of the triangles and rivet it into place. The last piece of wood needs to go in the middle of the triangle. Also rivet this into place.

    • 4

Cut some wood from your leftover piece of plywood. Contour one edge to the same angle as the pointed section of your ramp. Glue this into the correct spot. After the glue has dried, also nail it down. The plywood needs to be placed above the frame.

    • 5

Set your ramp where you want it once the glue has completely dried and you feel as if the rivets are in place and the ramp is sturdy. Grab your skateboard and get to having fun!

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not use screws while assembling your ramp, as this may cause the wood to split.

  • Use caution with tools
