Instructions

    • 1

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

    • 2

Put the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and mix.

    • 3

Add the margarine with a fork, two knives, or a pastry blender until the mixture is crumbly. The margarine should be straight from the fridge and still cool.

    • 4

Add the milk. Mix enough to wet the ingredients and create dough.

    • 5

Roll out the dough on a flour-dusted surface with the rolling pin until its approximately a half-inch thick. Fold the dough in half. Lightly roll out the dough until it is almost an inch thick. Cut out the biscuits with a glass or cookie cutter. Roll out the remaining dough and repeat.

    • 6

Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned on top.

Tips & Warnings

  • You'll get better biscuits if you use a cold stainless steel bowl.

  • Don't over-mix the butter into the flour mixture.
