How to make a pie crust that wont fail!

This recipe for pie crust is a never fail recipe. Everyone that has used this recipe has said it to be the easiest pie crust next to buying it from the store.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2/3 cup Crisco shortening (generous measure)
  • 1/3 cup ice cold water
  1. Step 1

    Measure flour into bowl, add salt.

  2. Step 2

    Remove 1/3 cup of the salt/flour mixture and add to the water. Mix well into paste so that you have NO lumps.

  3. Step 3

    Add shortening to the flour/salt mix in the BOWL and cut in with pastry brush or fork until it resembles pebbles.

  4. Step 4

    Add the "paste" mixture. Blend with hands, rolling into a ball.

  5. Step 5

    Divide dough in half.

  6. Step 6

    Roll dough out on a floured surface to desired size.

Tips & Warnings
  • Generous measure means to pile at least 1" over the top of the measuring cup.
  • This recipe makes 2 pie crusts.
