How to spend summer with toddlers?

Summer can be a fun time with toddlers. It is a time when parents take their annual leave to spend a vacation. But not every day can be spend travelling with rising cost of living. Here's how you can spend this summer with toddlers

1. Reading: Spend some early morning time to be out with books and toddler. It is great way to read books as early morning, they would be more alert. Taking breaks with small walks would be another way to introduce them to nature.
2. Preparing Juice: Every toddler would love to drink juice. Showing them how to make a juice and transfer to cups can be a fun activity. Toddlers can be guided through the entire process. Need not make juice with a blender. But they could prepare hand squeezed orange or lemon juice.
3. Crafts: As afternoon can be quite hot outdoors, indoor crafts would be great. Just guide them to make a caterpillar with an egg tray, straw and colors. Other ideas would be to make a lamp, sandals and other small crafts with simple paper and color.
4. Watering plants: Toddlers love to water the plants as it is a fun activity with water. They could be guided to water plants with a small hose or with small mugs.
5. Outdoor games: Make toddlers play with neighbouring children. It is also time to introduce a bicycle ride. Few days toddlers could be taken to swimming pools to introduce them to swimming pools.
6. Travel to zoo: Two years would be the best age to take toddlers to zoo. It would be the best way to introduce them to all kinds of animals. Even their curiosity would be at its peak to observe and learn.

• Outdoor activity should not be for too long in the mid-day sun.
