Step 1
Make sure you're running the latest version of iTunes for Mac or Windows; you can get the latest one from apple.com if it' necessary. I will show you the details of how to import CD and sync the iPod.

iTunes PreferencesThen follow the instructions below to start building your song library:
1).Go to iTunes>Edit>Preferences>Advanced to set up the format you wish to import your music as.
2).On CD Insert you choose Ask to Import CD.
3).Importing Using, select the AAC Encoder is better; you can also choose the AIFF, Apple Lossless, MP3, or WAV Encoder as you like.
4).In Setting, set as High Quality (128kbps), Higher Quality (256kbps) or Spoken Podcast, besides, you can Custom the Setting as well.

Step 3
iTunes InterfaceAfter you finish your advanced encoding preferences, the rest is quite easy.
1).Insert an audio CD into your computer.
2).Open iTunes, and it will recognize your inserted CD and the title will appear with a CD icon next to iPod DEVICES.
3).Click on the CD name to bring up a list of all the songs on the CD. Songs on the CD will be automatically checked.
4).A message "Would like to import Audio CD 'Yesterday' into iTunes library?" will be promptly shown on the interface of iTunes; click "Yes". Note: If iTunes does not import songs automatically, click the "Import CD" button at the bottom right hand corner of iTunes. -
Step 4
ImportingChecked songs will begin to be uploaded.
The song is indicated by an orange icon that appears to the left of the song being currently uploaded. Uploaded songs that are green marked will be automatically added to your iTunes LIBRARY, and of course the songs have loaded on your computer hard disk. -
Step 5
When all songs have uploaded onto your computer, you can go to the LIBRARY of iTunes and click the Music to show the CD album songs.

Step 6
SelectGo Edit>Select All, left click to drag and drop all the selected songs to the iPod music list; then the songs will sync your iPod completely. Note: If you set the library auto-sync your iPod, you just eject your iPod and connect it with your computer again, and everything in this LIBRARY will be automatically synchronized to your iPod.

Drag and DropDrag and drop the songs to the music list.

Step 8
Sync FinishedAt last the CD album songs will be listed on your iPod music list. Once your LIBRARY has been fully digitized, you can start to truly enjoy your music through the features and simplicity of iTunes and the iPod. At the same time, you can right-click to Get Info of your album and manage them (add lyrics or rename the songs .etc) as well.
