Step 1
Choose a wall that is already a focus in your bathroom. In my example picture, I chose the wall that already housed the double sinks in order to create one main feature instead of many different focuses that make the room feel chaotic.
-
Step 2
I chose small tile as I think this works better for this kind of project. Measure the wall size and then select the tile based on the amount of square feet you need. The small tiles come in square foot tiles so don't be intimidated by the process.
-
Step 3
Clean your wall surface and make sure it is dry. Once that is complete, with a notched trowel put adhesive on both the wall and the back of the sheet of tiles. Apply and press hard to make sure it is secure. Move along the wall until the entire thing is complete. The nice thing with the small tiles is it is much easier to cut to the size you need.
-
Step 4
Once the adhesive is dry. Apply the grout. Wipe away any grout within 20 minutes of applying it on the tiles themselves so you do not leave a residue. Once the grout is dry take a sealer to make sure it is water tight and will keep the grout's color over time.
