Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
It might need a piano tuner
Dust off that piano that has been gathering dust since the kids stopped playing and learn how to play. Locate a piano teacher at either the piano stores or those that sell musical instruments. Many senior centers have piano lessons in their schedule. Ask if they do not have an instructor now, maybe they will arrange to have such a clsss.
Step2
keyboards are fun
Learn how to play, and then buy a Keyboard. Since it is portable it would give you the ability to visit nursing homes for the holidays and entertain the residents. What a great difference you would make those residents who rarely have company or friends visit.
Step3
Enjoy champagne high in the sky
The more daring would enjoy taking a Hot Air Balloon ride. Think back at how many times you had suggested this but had been turned down. Well since this is your time now you no longer have anyone to ask. Get busy searching the Internet to find a nearby Hot Air Balloon Park.
Step4
Be different and find the Balloons that are shaped like animals or some other interesting shape. Sure the usual balloons are colorful but these are both different and colorful. Go for it! Remember its your time now!
Step5
Scrape booking supplies
For those who are housebound or are not easily able to get around there are always things to do that do not necessitate driving, playing or flying. Join in on the craze of Scrapbooking. Gather old pictures, old greeting cards or mementos of the past that are just taking up space in a dresser drawer. Memories will bring a smile of days gone by, as you date and remember ''when''!

on 8/15/2008 I really enjoyed this article as I'm going through something similar. All the steps are great except number five. I would definitely not do too well with gathering old pictures and spending too much time in the past. I think it would depress and sadden me. I'll let some time pass just in case, and concentrate on the future for now. Thank you for a great article.

on 8/9/2008 I keep telling my husband that we need to start doing things together to make some good memories, but the things I want to do he says I've already done that. But that was in his first marriage. I can;t make him understand how important this is. Maybe I can get him to read your article. Great article, thanks.
