Step 1
Placement is a very important step to getting the most out of your vacuum sealer. Store the vacuum sealer on the counter, in a cabinet or drawer that is easily accessible. Having it in a convenient area when you need it will increase it's usage.
-
Step 2
The vacuum sealer is commonly known for its preservation of fruits, meat and vegetables. It makes purchasing bulk items or taking advantage of sales a smart buy. When vacuum sealing, shelf-life increases dramatically.
As you put items away from the grocery store, immediately separate all of your "bulk" items into usable packs, then vacuum and seal. Mark your package with the date of purchase and the food item that is in the bag. Freeze or refrigerate as necessary and enjoy being able to reach in and pull out the perfect portion of food for your next meal. Chips, cookies and cereal can be placed in the canisters and vacuumed, sealing in the freshness. -
Step 3
Food is not the only use of this machine. It is a great tool to utilize when stocking a diaper bag. Create your own "ready to pour" formula pouches without spending the extra price of convenience. Seal some diaper wipes and a few diapers that you always keep in the car for that emergency. The vacuum not only keeps the wipes wet, but creating a separate pouch for the entire diaper kit will make it flat and easy to store.

Step 4
Are you a crafty individual? Use your sealer to organize your crafts. Scrap booking has become a very popular hobby. You can make pouches of like items and seal them up. (not vacuum) Organizing your craft with the see through bags keep things easy to find and in tip top condition.
The use of the vacuum sealer is limited only by your imagination. So get your machine back out and place it in an easy to reach spot in your kitchen, garage or workshop! Have fun and enjoy.
