Step 1
Search ~ Do a search for articles on topics that interest you. It's a great way to find people you have things in common with.

Read, Rate, Comment ~ Before you send a friend request, you should read, rate and comment on at least one article by the person you are interested in making your friend. Not only will this show the member that you are not a spammer, but it's also a friendly gesture to start your relationship with. They'll appreciate the fact that you took the time to read, think, and respond to their advice.

Step 3
Send a Friend Request ~ Below the member's avatar, click the "Be Friends" link. This will lead you to the member's profile page. Click the large button that says "Add to Friends". A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm your request. Click "Yes".

Step 4
Wait ~ You'll soon receive notification in your eHow message box telling you that your request has been approved.

Step 5
Thanks (optional) ~ You may wish to thank the member for accepting your friends request.

Try it! ~ Go ahead and try adding me to your friends list!
