Instructions

    • 1

Set a split peach stone, or pit, in front of you.

    • 2

Cut a flag or sail shape out of some construction paper, then glue it to the upper half of a matchstick. This will be the mast and sail.

    • 3

Apply a drop of glue to the middle bottom of the inside of the peach stone.

    • 4

Press the matchstick firmly into the glue. Hold it there, standing it straight up, for several minutes, or until the glue has dried sufficiently to hold the matchstick in place.

Tips & Warnings

  • Even after the glue has completely dried, your mast will always be somewhat fragile, so be careful.
