Sinusitis is a terrible infection that leaves you feeling tired, your nose raw, and a headache so bad you just want to stay in bed. If you have tooth pain, chances are you need an antibiotic. So what long term changes can you make in order to prevent sinus tooth pain?

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

    Take Medication

  1. Step 1

Take your allergy medications if you have allergies. Allergens often cause the colds that lead to sinus infections.

  2. Step 2

Perform nasal irrigation on a daily or weekly basis. Nasal irrigation clears the allergens that sit in your nose causing you to sneeze. Allergens stress our sinuses which opens a space for infection to set in.

  3. Step 3

Keep your immune system in good shape. This means getting enough rest, taking your vitamins, and exercising on a regular basis.

  4. Step 4

Take over-the-counter Zicam at the first sign of a cold if all else fails. Colds also lead to sinusitis.

Tips & Warnings
  • Taking over the counter Mucinex will allow your sinuses to drain efficiently.
  • Tell your physician of any new medications you are taking to make sure they don't interfere with one another.
