The thought of your significant other cheating on you is a horrible thing to face. For most people it is one of the most hurtful things that can happen. The steps below will help you identify the warning signs that you may be the victim of infidelity.

How To Spot Cheating

Step1
The first thing you should look for is a change in his routine. Is he staying late at work? Is he taking any out of town trips over the weekends or overnight?
Step2
Is he calling you more often on the phone than before? Cheaters usually do this for two reasons, one is to keep track of your whereabouts, and the other to lie about why he is not home or won't be home at the usual time.
Step3
Ask to use or see his cell phone. People who are involved in an affair do not want their spouse to see the cell phone because there are new numbers in it and possibly text messages stored that they would rather keep private.
Step4
Take note of his grooming habits. Partners who cheat will often make the shower their first priority when they get home to shower away any left behind evidence or smells from the person they are cheating with.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be careful not to accuse until you are reasonably sure there is cheating going on.
  • Understand that the person your spouse is cheating with may not even know about you, so don't direct your hurt and anger at him, for all you know he may be being duped too.
