How to Save Money on Yogurt
Yogurt supplies your body with probiotics--the healthy bacteria everyone is talking about. You also get lots of calcium and protein. Yogurt also fights off Candida or yeast infections. Yogurt is obviously worth buying, but here are some ways to save on this healthful product.

1
Buy bigger. Instead of buying the small, individual cups of yogurt, purchase the larger containers and save. If you feel like there are not enough flavors, mix fresh or canned fruit into plain or vanilla yogurt for a delicious variety. Ask friends to save their small containers for you and you can fill them up using your larger tub.

Clip coupons and hold onto them until the brand goes on sale. Grocery stores rarely put brands on sale the same week a coupon hits the paper. But wait a week or two, and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Switch brands. It's okay to have a favorite brand, but don't stick strictly to it. If the store brand is cheaper, or another brand goes on sale, give it a try at least once. You never know, it might be just as good--or better--than your current brand.

Invest in a yogurt maker and start making your own yogurt at home. Save more by buying the machine gently used on Craigslist or at a yard sale. Or you can find a recipe and make yogurt without a machine!

Sign up at the website of your favorite brand of yogurt. Most will send loyal customers special offers, cents off coupons, and even coupons for free samples!
