How to Clean Soft Contacts

Cleaning your soft contact lenses is easy but important. Do this every day to keep your lenses clean and your eyes free from infection.

Things You'll Need

• Saline solution
• Multi-purpose cleaner
• Contact lens case

Instructions

Clean Your Hands

1. Thoroughly wash your hands.

2. Remove either the right or left contact lens and place in the center of your palm.

3. Using a multi-purpose contact cleaner, drop three to four drops onto the surface of the lens.

4. Rub the contact lens in a circular motion, very gently, for about 30-60 seconds. Do this with the index finger of your other hand.

5. Rinse the lens well with saline solution, and place into a contact lens case filled with clean solution.

6. Repeat for the other lens.

• Always make sure your hands are clean before taking out or putting in your contact lens.
