First, you need to get on the internet and go to the American Bar Association's Website, here is the link directly to Pro Bono Programs:

Step2
Next click on the state link in which you are imprisoned.
Step3
Contact the Department(s) by letter or phone if you can. Make sure that you send details of your case if you are sending a letter with out speaking to someone first.

Make sure the letter is formal and proper grammar. Let the know the facts, not the emotional aspects of the case .... facts only!
