Remember when you were i school and crabby and your teacher sent you for a nap? When you woke up you had cookies and milk? Why do we feel guilty about napping? Why don't we see the importance of a good rest? Napping is great for reducing stress and supporting the immune system as well as providing restoration to the mind and body. Here is how to get the most out of your naps.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Soft fluffy pillows
  • A comfortable bed
  • favorite blanket
  • Body pillow
  • lavender oil (optional)
  • candles (optional)
  • quiet place to rest
  • to be guilt free

Step1
Be sure that when you are ready for your there are no distractions. Turn your phone off, make sure you rest with a clear mind. This means not allowing anything to go unfinished, anything that is you would worry about.
Step2
Fill the room with a scent of your choice. For relaxation and a sense of calmness, use lavender or eucalyptus. Just a few drops in a spray bottled filled with instilled water will do the trick. You can also tuck a lavender sachet under your pillow to help you slip into a sweet slumber.
Step3
Arrange your pillows so that you are comfortable. Fuss with them a bit, turn your head side to side, allow it to rest where it feels at ease. do the same for your legs.
Step4
Make sure the room is at a comfortable temperature. Many people lose sleep because it is too hot or too cold. If you need to open a window, or close it, do what ever makes you feel comfy.
Step5
Wear something comfortable. The less constricted you feel, the better rest you will have.
Step6
Focus on your breathing. Usually when we rest out head, the minute it falls onto the pillow, torrents of thoughts and images crawl into our mind. If that happens, as it often does, go to your breath. Breath deeply into your abdomen, through the nose as you inhale and through your mouth as you exhale.
Step7
Napping is great after making love. Feel the breeze on your nude bodies as you lay in a blissful afterglow.
