Sadly, it happens. However, a stuck DVD/CD drive on your computer's tower isn't the kiss of death. This simple trick will unstick that stuck DVD/CD drive in seconds!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • metal paper clip
  1. Step 1
    A simple paper clip is the tool for a stuck DVD/CD drive!

    Unbend the paper clip. This is the tool you will use to unstick the stuck DVD/CD drive.

  2. Step 2
    Look closely at the stuck DVD/CD drive until you find a small hole
    Look closely at the stuck DVD/CD drive until you find a small hole

    Look very closely around the door of the stuck DVD/CD drive until you locate a very small hole.

  3. Step 3
    Insert unbent paper clip into small hole.
    Insert unbent paper clip into small hole.

    Insert the unbent paper clip into the small hole. Inside, there is a spring-loaded eject button.

  4. Step 4
    Voila! Your stuck DVD/CD drive ejects!
    Voila! Your stuck DVD/CD drive ejects!

    Press gently on the paper clip to activate the spring-loaded eject button. This should unstick your stuck DVD/CD drive!
