Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Time, a love to teach your child, and resourcefulness.

Step1
Every parent wants to give their child a head start in education. This can be done by creating a preschool curriculum at home. First you should sit down and make a list of the things you feel are important for your child to know before kindergarten, such as counting and abc's. Figure out which way your child learns. Each child learns differently.
Step2
After you have made a list of things you would like your child to know, you can go online and print color pages and worksheets off of your computer. Free pages are easily found my doing a search on the internet. You can find everything from ABC worksheets to telling time.
Step3
Next you can do a search of your area. Many cities have stores where you can buy things to teach your children. Stores geared towards home schooling parents are really helpful in providing workbooks and art supplies/projects.
Step4
Once you have all of your materials from the internet and the stores you are ready to get started teaching your child. Some people find it helpful to organize the materials they have acquired somehow, maybe with a filing cabinet, before they begin teaching. Remember to keep it fun!
