Gonzo Parenting is a fresh, funky zine for parents who live in the real world.

Gonzo Parenting is currently looking for content for their upcoming issue. They are looking for essays and articles by parent-writers that are imperfect, honest, and hip. They don't take kindly to perfect parents (or those who think they are), religion-bashing or overtly political subjects. Have a bone to pick with a deadbeat parent? Want to talk about how new legislation affects your family? Want to give real advice (not Dr. Spock's) on how to survive parenthood? Gonzo Parenting is looking for you! A desire to get your work published

Step 1

GO TO GONZO PARENTING'S INFO PAGE.
Gonzo Parenting maintains an informational page on Myspace. Find them at http://myspace.com/GonzoParenting. There, you will find information on Gonzo Parenting's philosophies and needs for content.
Step 2

READ GONZO PARENTING'S SUBMISSION GUIDELINES.
In Gonzo Parenting's Myspace blog, you will find submission guidelines. The address is listed below in the Resource section. Read Gonzo Parenting's guidelines carefully.
Step 3

WRITE AN INSIGHTFUL OR HUMOROUS ARTICLE OR ESSAY.
The editor of Gonzo Parenting has a soft spot for humorous parenting stories or essays. Gonzo Parenting's editor also likes essays that are moving and insightful.
Step 4

WRITE A FRIENDLY COVER LETTER.
Gonzo Parenting's editor likes to know a little bit about the contributors. Make your cover letter stand out by sharing a fascinating fact about yourself, how many children you have, and where you live. Make it personal!
Step 5

PRINT AND SEND YOUR SUBMISSION TO GONZO PARENTING.
Print your submission out, put it in the envelope, and send it off to Gonzo Parenting. They take all submissions by snail-mail first.

Make sure your name, address, phone number and email address are on your submission, pursuant to Gonzo Parenting's guidelines.

If they are interested in your piece, they will email or call you to request a Word version of your article.
Step 6

WAIT FOR GONZO PARENTING TO PUBLISH YOUR WORK!
If your submission is chosen for publication in Gonzo Parenting, you will receive four contributor's copies to share with your friends! How cool is that?!
