Want something different for your Wedding Table Seating Arrangements? Most gals just use Table Numbers.

We used Antique Postcards of Covered Bridges for a destination wedding in Stowe, Vermont over Columbus Day Weekend.

After the placards were made, guests were then assigned to their tables by "Bridge Name," instead of a number!

As it was so unique, the idea instantly made for small-talk conversation to let the guests get to know each other at the table!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Antique Postcards - these can be searched on Google and purchased from various sites on the Internet.
  • Standard 5 x 7 mat frames in your choice of colors, from any craft store
  • Self-stick adhesive tab corners, from any craft store
  • Dish-size easels to hold the frames, from any craft store
  • Calligraphy Pen/Ink, from any craft store
  1. Step 1

Purchase enough clean, antique postcards, in your choice of scenery.
You may want to select a special one for the Head Table.

  2. Step 2

Optional - If possible, instead of using 'Table 1, 2, 3' ~ caption each postcard with a unique name.

Since the postcards we were using were of covered bridges in Vermont, we captioned each mat with the Bridge & Town Name.

This method is especially attractive if you can have it done in calligraphy.

  3. Step 3

Attach 4 self-adhesive corner (transparent) backings to each postcard.
Center, and attach the postcard to the mat frame.

  4. Step 4

    It's all done!

We used wooden easels to hold the placards in place on each table.

There were several left over, so we also used them on the cake table, bars, and around the Gift Table.
