Keep Every Room Smelling Good Each Day!
-
1
Clean all surfaces in the kitchen well with disinfecting cleaning products like Lysol products and Clorox Bleach Wipes. To remove any smelling sources, wipe out the refrigerator, throw away any outdated food products, empty all trash cans and clean out the tray underneath the refrigerator. Use Arm & Hammer Fridge Citrus Air Freshener or soak a cotton ball with vanilla and put it on a small dish in the refrigerator.
-
2
Begin by placing decorated scented candles that look like fruit or sweet desserts in the kitchen. Boil pots of spiced potpourri and plant bowls all over. Use spicy and citrus scents in the kitchen, like apple, peach, orange, berries, cinnamon and cloves.
-
-
3
In the dining room, use the flavors of vanilla, scented herbs, berries, or floral touches in decorated tall candles, setting candles in the middle of floral decorations and place a fresh cut of roses or another floral spread on the dining room table. Calming scents are excellent for the living room such as lavender, ginger, and chamomile flowers. Use well lighted, scented mist fountains and lightly scented potpourri in decorated bowls that match decor.
-
4
Place the calming scents of lavender-scented sachets inside the pillows and use basil oil, jasmine and scented perfume around the bedroom. Air out bed sheets with a dry, floral potpourri in the dryer before putting on the bed. In the hallway, put a jasmine and or lemon scented plant on a small table.
-
5
Clean the bathroom well with lemon, pine or citrus-scented cleaners. Place some eucalyptus leaves and mint for a refreshing face sauna, along with some sweet basil oil in the bathroom for a soothing steam bath. Use fresh cucumbers for a delightful facial lift, throw rose petals and lavender flowers in a warm water-filled bathtub and keep loofahs and bath brushes available.
-
6
Create delightful scents in the closet by placing citrus, patchouli, berry or floral linen fresheners. Use a scented rock or hanging sachet with potpourri to put on closet racks. Air out attic at least once or twice a month and place bayberry sachet in stored clothing or linens.
-
7
Do not forget the trash cans by cleaning them out with bleach, citrus cleaners and place a zeolite or charcoal in them afterwards to reduce odors. Keep your pets bedding and toys clean with baking soda and berry scents, which they enjoy and buy a catnip toy for your kitty. Air out the basement with fans and open windows to keep fresh air circulating and put vanilla and lavender sachets in stored clothing.
