1
Select a location for your sauna. You'll want a place that has a good deal of room and can easily accomodate a swing out door. Construct a basic room frame by nailing together 2x4 planks with a hammer and nails.
-
2
Install a layer of three-inch thick fiberglass on the interior wall. Cover this wall with another layer of Cedar planks. Cut out spaces for two to three vents, an overhead light as well as a door. At least one of these vents needs to be located next to where the heater will sit.

3
Screw the vents covers into place. Cover the exposed nails and nail heads with putty, it's sticky and soft to the touch so if someone rubs against it they won't be poked or scratched.
-
4
Install the bench. Screw the back to the wall as well as the feet of the bench to the floor. Install the door by screwing the hinges to the doorframe and then the door to the hinges.
-
5
Hire an electrician to come in and hook up the heater and overhead lighting. You really want to make sure this is done right to reduce your chance of accidents. That's it. Now go and enjoy your sauna!
