1
Invite friends and family who are horror movie buffs. It is fun to have people with the same interests at the horror movie night. Choose a night that is convenient for everyone. You may even ask for suggestions, and choose the top three or four movies from the list. If you are having a marathon of sequels, you may want to suggest the guests dress up as their favorite character.

2
Rent, borrow or dust off those scary movies. Horror movies seem to be done in sequels, like the Freddie and Jason movies. It is great fun to have a marathon of one director or main character. Tobe Hooper is responsible for cult classics like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Mortuary." Wes Craven is most famous for the "Nightmare On Elm Street" movies. Craven also directed "The Hills Have Eyes" remake and "The People Under the Stairs." Some other greats are "Urban Legend" and "Scream."
