How to Make Leather Furniture Cleaner
Leather furniture can be scary to clean because you don't want anything to hurt the leather. It's not a very forgiving material - once it's ruined, that's it. You can make a very good - safe - leather cleaner that's very gentle and easy to use in the house or car. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 cup rubbing alcohol (isopropyl)
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 3 cups water
- Large bowl
- Funnel
- 2 medium jars

Pour the the vinegar and alcohol into a large bowl with 3 cups of water in it. Stir it up.

Use a funnel and pour half of the cleanser in each jar. Date and label the jars and seal tightly. Store this and all cleaning supplies away from children.

Vacuum your leather pieces if they might have crumbs or dust on them. Use the cleaner by applying it with a very soft cloth.

Gently wipe down the entire surface. You don't need to rinse it. Go back with a dry piece of soft cloth and buff it lightly. Your leather will shine like brand new.

Keep your leather clean by using this once or twice a month, depending on how much use your furniture gets.
This works beautifully on leather car seats.
Don't use vinyl cleaner on anything made of leather. It may cause it to dry and split or crack.
