Bias Peak Pro is an easy to use digital audio editing program for the Macintosh platform. It's a powerful film and video sound design tool perfect for musicians, composers and audio editors. One of the most popular features of Peak Pro is the option to create playlists. With playlists you can select parts of a song and fade between them, or simply sample how different parts of a song sound together. Here are a few tips to help you create a playlist in Peak Pro.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Macintosh Computer
  • Peak Pro
  • Digital Music
  1. Step 1

Create a new playlist. Click "File" then "New" and select "Playlist Document". This will create a new playlist.

  2. Step 2

Import a song or waveform. Click "File" then "Import Audio." Browse to the song you want to import and select it. Your song will be added to Peak Pro as a waveform.

  3. Step 3

Add the waveform to your playlist. Select the region of the waveform you want to add to your playlist then click the "New Region" button. Your selection will now become Region One. Click the "Plus" button on your playlist and select "Region One" to add it to your playlist. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to import more waveforms and create additional regions.

  4. Step 4

Fade between regions. To fade between two regions, click a region and drag it so it's overlapping another region. The highlighted area that is created represents the fade. Press "Play" to make sure the fade is located where you want it. If you don't like the effect, drag the waveform to a different location.

  5. Step 5

Delete unwanted waveforms or songs. The List View displays a list of the various parts of your playlist. If you want to delete part of your playlist, select that waveform, then click the "Trash Can" button.

  6. Step 6

Save your work. Click "Save" to save your new playlist and finalize your selections.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also create playlists based on your personal music mixes and then burn them to CD. If you are a DJ, you can use the playlist feature in Peak Pro to create a custom sound mix for your next party.
