S'mores are always fun for kids to do, but a little dangerous over an open fire. Microwave s'mores are so simple and safe a five year old can do it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • microwave oven
  • graham crackers
  • thin chocolate squares
  • large marshmallows
  1. Step 1

On a microwave-safe plate, assemble one graham cracker square, one chocolate square, and one large marshmallow, in that order.

  2. Step 2

Place in microwave, and set timer for approximately 7 seconds. Since microwaves differ greatly, your first s'more will be experimental.

  3. Step 3

Watch your s'more carefully. As soon as the marshmallow puffs up, stop the microwave. Remove from microwave; place a second graham cracker square on top of the marshmallow, and squish the layers gently. Wait a few seconds for the marshmallow to melt the chocolate.
