How to Take Center Front Body Measurements

Take Center Front Measurements

Start by locating the center of your clavicle. Place the end of your measuring tape at this spot hold it with your right hand.

Slowly run the measuring tape down the center of your chest to your waist. You will most likely want to choose the center of your waist to check the measurement, but if you prefer your piece to be longer then you can go lower on your waist to find the measurement. Write down the length of your center front measurement to your waist.

Repeat the above step but once you get to your waist you will want to continue on with the measuring tape. You will want to switch hands as you run the measuring tape past your waist and along you inner thigh to your knee. This is your center front measurement to your knee.

Follow the above steps and run the tape past your knee along the side of your leg to the floor. This is your center front to the floor measurement.

Write down your measurements and you are ready to start your pattern.
