Step1
Cleanse. Wash skin well with cleanser, massaging area gently. Rinse cleanser off thoroughly.
Step2
Steam or use warm, wet towels to soften blackheadsPosition steamer approximately sixteen inches from skin and steam for ten minutes. If you don’t have a steamer, place a warm, wet towel over the area, leaving towel on skin until cool.
Step3
Apply Sodium Bicarbonate Solution to Blackheads. Put sodium bicarbonate in warm water and stir until sodium bicarbonate dissolves. Saturate a cotton strip with solution and squeeze cotton strip to remove excess solution. Place cotton strip over blackheads and leave on for approximately six minutes.
Step4
Extract blackheads. Remove cotton strip, and tear a tissue in half, wrapping each half around each forefinger. Place forefingers on both sides of blackhead and gently push fingers together so that blackhead is squeezed out. Proceed to next blackhead and do the same.
Step5
Apply toner and moisturizer. Saturate cotton pad with toner and wipe area clean. Apply moisturizer.

Tips & Warnings

  • A clay mask can be used after extraction of blackheads to further cleanse the pores.
  • Do not persist with removing a blackhead if it doesn’t come out easily. It’s best to leave it alone at this point and try again another time.
