Things You'll Need:
- A baking sheet
- An oven
- or
- A microwave safe plate
- A microwave
- Mission Tortilla Chips
- Chili
- Cheddar Cheese
-
Step 1
To begin buy some Mission tortilla chips. Others will work but Mission really are the best(store bought chips). If you have a restaurants near by that makes fresh chips than you are lucky. Now I want to say up front these nachos will be better if you make them in the oven but they will still be good in the microwave. The microwave will just make your chips soggy quicker.
-
Step 2
For oven preparation, pre-heat the oven to 400 degree. On a baking sheet spread out your chips. Take your chili (read my other article to find the best chili ever!!!) store bought or home made and spread it over the chips. Spread an even layer of sharp cheddar cheese over all the chips. Pop in the oven for about 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and chili is hot. Now enjoy!!!
-
Step 3
For microwave preparation, get out your microwave safe plate. Spread the chips in a circular pattern around the plate living the middle open. Fill the opening with your store bought or home made chili. Then spread an even layer of sharp cheddar cheese over all the chips and the chili. Microwave for about 3-4 minutes. If your microwave doesn't have a turntable, rotate the plate half way through. Now enjoy!!!

on 10/27/2009 I make nachos at home all the time. I can't get enough. I'm basically obsessed with Taco Bell now because of their success in making the ultimate, perfect nacho (fully loaded and volcano)!
