This a really neat way to reuse some of your old boots or tennis shoes. Kids will love to help or you could even let them do it as fun summer activity

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Potting Soil
  • some old shoes (boots and tennis shoe work the best)
  • Flowers
Step1
Take the laces out of the shoe and fill about 3/4 of the way full with potting soil.
Step2
Place your plant in the top and fill in the sides with soil. Pat down gently and water.
Step3
Place where ever you want to show off your unusual container.

Tips & Warnings

  • I use violas and bushy type flowers in mine

on 9/12/2008 This is so cute.
I have used this throughout my yard.
What works especially well are old rain boots, duck shoes and western boots.
They are even fun to give nice starter plants to friends. They fit very well in a windowsill;
