Food allergies can be brought on by a variety of causes. But what can you do to treat these potentially fatal reactions?

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    If a patient is showing the common hives and sneezing/watery eyes, you can bet that they are having an allergic reaction to something in their immediate environment.

  2. Step 2

    Place the victim in an upright seated position, allowing them to breathe easily. Ask the patient if they have any medication on them that could be used to treat their symptoms.

  3. Step 3

    Stay with the victim until medical help arrives. Never leave a person alone who is having trouble breathing.
