High blood pressure can be treated effectively without medication. How you ask?

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Supplement your diet with Magnesium, Potassium, and a little known nutrient known as Calcium. These three have been shown to effectively lower your blood pressure.

  2. Step 2

Consume more B vitamins. Folic acid in particular is important for lowering blood pressure. This vitamin lowers the rist of heart disease as well, so there's no reason not to take it.

  3. Step 3

Take a small break from everything during your day. Stress has been linked to many health problems. Try anything that relaxes you. Who doesn't like a break anyway?

on 2/3/2009 Please be careful on the amount of supplements you take. Some supplements are water soluble and easily exreted by the body, others are not. People with renal (kidney) problems need to be cloesly monitored by their Dr before they start adding any additional Potassium or Magnesium to their diet. Please speak to your Dr 1st about use off supplements! Believe it or not, too high or low of many can kill you.

on 7/7/2008 Noise and stress. My bp was at 144 (i'm only 24 years old!) a little over a month ago and it went down to 122 (20 pts!) since then. Thanks to my job transfer and reduction in stress levels! I also took B12 prior to that doctors appointment for about 3 days... :) Good Luck
