The casperflip is a fairly basic trick, ideal for skateboarders who are at the midway point in their development of flip tricks. It is fairly easy to learn, though it takes time to master. With enough patience and practice you will learn how to balance and will have another trick to include in your repetoir.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Skateboard
  • Helmet and other protective gear
  1. Step 1

Place your front foot, at a slight angle, on the backside middle of your skateboard. The toe of your shoe should be on the heel side edge.

  2. Step 2

Place your back foot on the tail of the skateboard, with the heel of your shoe on the toe side part of the board.

  3. Step 3

Push down on the tail of the board with your front toe, as in a kickflip, but without following through the whole way. Lift up with your back foot at the same time, flipping the board over. Your front foot should be near the screws, and the toe of your back foot should be on the tail.

  4. Step 4

Pull up on your front foot and balance the board. This will take some practice to do effectively.

  5. Step 5

Flip up and to the side with your front foot, flipping the skateboard back over. Do this once you can no longer maintain balance, or when you simply wish to end the trick.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't allow your front foot to touch the ground.
  • Flip the board with your ankles, not your legs.
  • Skateboarding can be a dangerous activity. Make sure to wear the proper protective gear and train before attempting this or any other stunt.
