Things You'll Need:
- rubber or plastic ball
- shiny paint (silver)
- glue/ cement
- mirror chips
- Motor (small)
-
Step 1
Paint your plastic or rubber ball silver. Let it dry.
-
Step 2
Paste some glue/ cement around the equator of the sphere.
-
Step 3
Place a row of square mirror chips around the equator of the ball.
-
Step 4
After the first row dries, begin working on the next row.
-
Step 5
After the arrangement dries, place a motor under the ball. The motor can be any 120 volt type, and can even be a small child’s motor kit from a craft shop. What you need is a motor that will oscillate the ball when the ball rests on the motor. Shine a light on the ball to get it to sparkle. You can fix a flashlight somewhere so that the beam hits the ball as it spins around.
