Instructions

    • 1

Place the thyme, lavender buds and rosemary in the muslin bath bag. If you are using fresh herbs, you will need 1/4 cup of each.

    • 2
Bath bags tied with a pretty ribbon make an inexpensive and luxurious gift.

Tie the top of the bag securely to prevent herbs from falling out of the bag. This is important or you can have a huge mess instead of a pleasant herbal bath.

    • 3

Bring the quart of water to a boil. You need to use a pot big enough to hold the boiling water and the bath bag without spilling over.

    • 4

Simmer the water and the bath bag for 15 minutes. Keep the mixture covered the entire time. This will soften the dried herbs, and it will create an infusion for your bath.

    • 5
This type of bath can also help you relax and unwind.

Run a bath. The tub should be full enough to nearly or fully submerge your entire body.

    • 6

Pour the water into your bath. As you wash, the herbal infusion will help deodorize your body naturally and effectively.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not take baths, use the infusion as a bath splash.

  • Try using the muslin bath bag as a washcloth for softer skin and added deodorizing.

  • Rub the herbs against your skin before using your bath infusion. This will make sure that you do not have an allergic reaction.
