The Star Network contributes to five specific foundations: The Dream Foundation, Texas CASA, Toys for Tots Foundation, Tu Nudito, and The Wings Foundation. The Star Network offers three charity packages, which run $39.95, $67.96 and $97.95. All three packages allow you to "buy" an actual star located in our galaxy, and come with a certificate of ownership and a map to help you locate your star. You can also purchase pins, stuffed animals and literature, the proceeds of which all go to charity.

My Star Forever donates $1 to one of three charities when you purchase a star. The My Star Forever Foundation donates funds to three different charities: ONE, UNICEF and the World Wildlife Fund. You can buy a virtual star for a mere $4.95, as well as add a personal message if you are giving the star as a gift. Once your virtual star has been purchased, all you have to do is visit the My Star Forever website and locate your star.

The Name A Star foundation donates proceeds to six specific charities. The charities are Oprah's Angel's Network, Bat Conservation International, Chimps Incorporated, Snowman Foundation, the Special Olympics, and the American Cancer Society. Star packages begin at $29.95 and run all the way up to $89.95. Once you have purchased your star, you merely have to wait a few days, and you will receive your certificate of ownership and a map to guide you in finding your star in the night sky.
