1
Do whatever works! If the swing stops the crying, go ahead and leave that baby in the swing for hours. Does putting her in the car put her to sleep? Drive around the block 20 times in a row! Sure, it's expensive to waste that much gas, and your neighbors might think you are crazy, but isn't it worth your sanity?

Take a break. Put the baby in his crib and shut the door. Let him cry while you take a bubblebath. He is going to cry whether you are holding him or not, and sometimes you just need to get away from the screaming for a few minutes.

Join a support group. Your doctor might be able to steer you towards one. There are several on-line. On-line groups are great because your on-line friends can't hear your baby's screams.

Remind yourself daily that this, too, shall pass, and what doesn't break you will make you stronger!
