blurp blurp blurp "I am a goldfish"

Go buy some goldfish. Get some that look healthy.

  2. Step 2

You will need a gallon of water per fish so make sure you get a tank that can hold enough water for your fish.

  3. Step 3

You will need to get a water stress coat to add the life of the real world back into the water. The film and algae needed for a fish to survive.

  4. Step 4

Of course make sure to get your fish some food. Fish flakes are fine. when you feed the critters only do about a pinch per fish.

  5. Step 5

Every couple of days you will need to clean the tank if you do not have a water pump. There are several types of filters to look into at this website http://www.kokosgoldfish.com/Filtration.html.

  6. Step 6

Have fun. Taking care of fish is alot of work contrary to popular belief and you must really care for your fish or it will die.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not overfeed. Small bellies do not need much.
  • Make sure you have a filter and water stresser.
  • Do not put your hands all in the water because these are not saltwater fish.

on 8/21/2008 goldfish require at least 10gallons each, not a gallon per fish. they are very messy fish and need good filtration and lots of water to dilute the waste.

the first step should NEVER be buying fish, research should always come first, then a proper tank, then the fish.

also, conditioners are to remove chlorine and chloramines, not to introduce algae and film into the water.
