on 7/7/2008 That may be true with some injuries, but is definitely not the end-all to back pain. But- there is no end-all to back pain as it is. I am a sufferer of chronic back pain, and using my back is sometimes more painful than laying down, so maybe your method would work- depending on the injury, but would not benefit my disc herniation.

on 7/6/2008 There is apparently some evidence that not resting entirely, but continuing to use your back (safely) will correct the problem (at least until the next time!). I am not a doctor, so do your own research and/or check with your doctor.
