How to Make a Coin Vanish From Your Hand

A successful magician never gives away his magic secrets. Even the most fascinating of tricks can have a very easy magical explanation. The human mind is not always able to process the illusions that a magician makes happen right before our very eyes, thus, we are amazed by what seems to defy logic. The coin vanishing act is one of the oldest tricks performed by magicians. Learn how to perform it and you can practice it yourself and amaze your friends and family, but don't let them know how you did it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

1. Dramatically place the coin in your left hand and show it to your friends.

2. Remove the coin from your left hand with your right thumb and pointer finger. Do this in clear view of your friends.

3. Gently, turn your right hand so that the palm is facing you, with the thumb and pointer finger still facing you.

4. Take your left hand and with your thumb and pointer of that hand, pretend to take the coin from the right.

5. Slowly drop the coin into your right palm, as you pretend to take it with your left.

6. Now with your left hand, join the thumb and pointer fingers, rubbing them together as if you really do have the coin.

7. Quickly, snap your fingers on your left hand to make it appear to vanish.
