How to Delete Cookies in Firefox

Firefox stores cookies provided by virtually every website you visit. Cookies aren't good or bad in and of themselves. Cookies may be used to store your preferences for a site, login information or to track visited items on a particular site. Cookies may also track your preferences and the information that interests you for advertising purposes. Fortunately Firefox includes an easy way to delete the cookies stored on your computer.

• Firefox Web browser

1. Open Firefox. Click the Firefox button to open the menu. Click the "Clear Recent History" option in the "Tools" submenu.

2. Click the "Time range to clear" drop-down menu and select the time range of the cookies you want to delete. Click the "Details" arrow.

3. Click the check box next to the "Cookies" item. Remove the check mark next to anything you don't want to delete. Click the "Clear Now" button.
