Step 1
The next time you have a hot dog, don't forget to load it up with mustard. Research over 50 years has shown that the substance in mustard can prevent and treat cancer. This comes from the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas and is not some 'dicey' miracle cure that will set you back thousands of dollars and probably not work. This amazing stuff costs nearly nothing and you may have some in your cupboard or refrigerator right now.

Step 2
Hot dog mustard contains chemicals that contain nitrates that might encourage cancer. BUT, the mustard you slap on your franks or anything else you eat, is an honest anti-cancer arsenal. In fact, mustard contains no less than three enemies of cancer. #1 Selenium: all by itself, this mineral may cut prostate cancer risk in half. #2 Isothiocyantes: a $200 word you can't pronounce is in the mustard seed and inhibits growth of existing cancer cells and protects the good ones.

Step 3
# Curcumin: gives the mustard its lurid yellow color, and U of Texas researchers say this combination makes chemo less toxic and HALTS the spread of breast cancer in women. Another research group in England says it can be a powerful weapon against prostate cancer in men. Maybe mother nature figured you can do plenty to help yourself curb cancer without ever leaving your kitchen.

Step 4
Memo: There are other ways to get curcumin in your diet besides mustard.
Indian curry is one and perhaps you'll find supplements in your health food store, as well.
Also, a UCLA researcher (Dr. Gregory Cole) is already saying that curcumin could treat Alzheimer's, arthritis, colitis and even cystic fibrosis.
